Epson Ink Cartridges when manufactured and produced by Epson themselves are typically excellent quality but they are also very expensive. Epson ink cartridges though can also be supplied as compatible or generic cartridges – Epson is a trade name which we are using solely for the purposes of identification. We like Epson Stylus Inkjet Printers. In general with a few exceptions the printers are high quality and good value for money. Where they fall down from an end user point of view is the cost of the replacement print cartridges which sometimes can work out more expensive than buying a new printer. Why is this? Well quite simply this is how Epson and other printer manufacturers make their real money. In comparison the profit margins on printer ink cartridges are many times greater than those on the printers.
